Max Cooper-Clark is an artist, writer, and researcher from the North East of England exploring the intersections of art, ecology, architecture, and extractivism.
Max’s work has been exhibited and published in the UK and internationally, including at the 2023 Venice Architecture Biennale, the Royal Academy of Arts, the Royal Society of Artists, and in the Journal of Architectural Education. He is nominated for the 2025 North East Emerging Artist Award and has previously been awarded prized by RIBA and RIAS.
Max holds a Masters in Architecture from the Royal College of Art and an MA from the University of Cambridge, where he served as a visiting lecturer. He is currently working as a designer and researcher with the Turner Prize-nominated collective Cooking Sections and is teaching at Central Saint Martins on the Spatial Practices programme.
