MDF, Paint and Bike Locks
3.5m x 3m
Cambridge, UK
A big red picket fence was attached with bike locks to the gates adjoining the Cambridge University Senate House and the Old Schools, the main administrative building of the university, during the 2018 Higher Education Strikes. The painted wooden structure was installed as an act of solidarity with striking staff and a protest against the erosion of pay and working conditions in higher education institutions across the UK.
